Hey everyone — welcome to the start of something new.
After years of working a traditional 9-to-5, I’ve officially left my day job to chase a dream: going full-time indie.
It wasn’t a decision I made lightly. Like many indie game developers, I spent late nights and weekends creating, experimenting, and building — all while juggling a full-time job. Over time, it became clear that what truly motivated me wasn’t office life — it was game development, digital design, and helping others learn how to build their own projects through YouTube tutorials and creative content.
That’s how Boat in a Bottle Studios was born.
🚢 What Is Boat in a Bottle Studios?
Boat in a Bottle Studios is my personal indie game development brand — a space where I can document the creative hustle, share devlogs, blog posts, game progress, and connect with others who are on the same path.
Whether you’re a fellow developer, aspiring creator, or someone who just loves seeing games come to life from scratch, this site is for you. Here, you’ll find:
- Regular blog updates on the indie dev journey
- Sneak peeks of the games I’m working on
- Tips and resources for solo creators and side hustlers
- Links to my videos, products, and tools I use along the way

I also run a growing YouTube channel where I share tutorials, devlogs, indie game tips, and behind-the-scenes content from the trenches of solo development. Whether you’re using Unreal Engine or Unity, my goal is to help you learn, build, and stay inspired.
If you enjoy indie dev content, I’d love to have you subscribe and follow along.
☕ Support the Journey on Patreon
Going full-time indie is a massive leap — and every bit of support helps. If you’d like to get access to exclusive content, early dev builds, bonus tutorials, and help shape the direction of upcoming projects, check out my Patreon page.
Every supporter helps me stay independent, keep creating, and bring these games and tools to life.
🚀 What’s Next?
This blog will serve as a living journal — one part devlog, one part resource hub, and one part motivational fuel for anyone who’s building their own thing.
Thanks for checking out the site. The journey starts here, and I’m pumped to share it with you.
Let’s build something awesome.
