The Ship Didn’t Sink. It Just Found a New Port.

Hey crew,

Still here. Still building. The lights are on and the engine is running — I just had to make sure I was pointed at the right horizon before I started broadcasting.

Here’s what’s been happening.

On the Unreal side, I have been putting together the next round of tutorials and I think you’re going to like where they’re headed. More practical, more hands-on, less fluff. I want these to actually be useful to someone sitting down and building something real — not just following along and forgetting it all an hour later. More on that very soon.

But here’s the thing I’m most excited about.

I’ve been quietly starting something new. A game. A real one. Built in Unity, targeting Meta Quest 3, and it uses mixed reality in a way that I haven’t seen anyone else do yet on the platform. I’m not ready to spill everything but I’ll say this: imagine a tiny civilization living on your coffee table, and you are their god.

Yeah. It’s that kind of project.

I’ll be documenting the whole build here — the wins, the disasters, the ‘why does this shadow follow my headset’ moments that cost me a week of my life. You’ll see all of it.

More coming soon. Stay on deck.
