A Quick Check-In From The Captain’s Deck

Hey crew,
I’m popping in today with a short but real update because I believe you deserve honesty, consistency, and a little spark to remind you why you joined this adventure with me.

The past couple of weeks got away from me. I slipped. Life threw some waves, and instead of surfing them like a pro, I kind of let myself drift a bit. It happens. But I’m not about to let this ship go dark.

Here’s where things stand and what’s coming next.

Where I’ve Been

I’ve been head down working on a few things behind the scenes. Some of it game dev, some of it income-building, and some of it “Clayton needed to breathe for a minute.” I won’t sugarcoat it. Balancing everything while building an indie studio from scratch isn’t glamorous. It’s messy, chaotic, and sometimes straight up exhausting.

But I’m not here to quit. I’m here to build. And you’re here because you see the spark too.

What’s Coming

Over the next few days, you’re going to start seeing movement again. I’m lining up:

• A new behind-the-scenes dev update
• A tiny teaser of what’s coming in the next drop
• A personal breakdown of the next milestone for the game

And yes, that includes showing some of the messy middle and not just the polished highlights. We’re doing this journey together, not pretending perfection.

What I Need From You

One simple thing: stay with me.

Drop a comment below so I know you’re still in this with me. Tell me what type of post you’d like next:

A) Devlog with screenshots
B) A personal “life of a solo dev” update
C) Asset sneak peek
D) Something fun and unexpected

Pick one letter. That’s it. I’ll create whatever gets the most votes next.

Thank You

If you’re reading this, you’re already ahead of most people. You didn’t flake. You didn’t unsubscribe. You’re the kind of person who sticks around long enough to see the win. And I want to deliver that win not just for me, but for you too.

I’m back. The lights are on. The ship is moving.
Let’s make this next chapter a good one.

With gratitude,
Clayton
